UTM500 is developed for applications where large tensile and compressive forces need to be measured with high reliability over time. The sensor is suitable for industrial environments, test rigs and structures where the load is high and where measurement must remain stable even during recurring load cycles.
The force sensor is made of high quality alloy steel and has a zinc plated surface for corrosion protection. The applied load is measured with strain gauges connected in a full bridge, which provides a signal proportional to the load. UTM500 has an IP65 rating and is suitable for both tension and compression.
